Yoga is a holistic mind-body intervention aimed at physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.
Several studies have shown that yoga and/or meditation can have a significant impact on several of cardiovascular risk factors, like hypertension, type II diabetes and insulin resistance, obesity, lipid profile, psychosocial stress and smoking.
Powered by the Wellbeing Special Interest Group of the Vasco da Gama Movement, the Yoga Break will include a warm-up, yoga postures, breathing exercises, visualization and meditation.
The session will be held in English and it is aimed to all yoga levels, from newbies to advanced.
In fact, the beauty of yoga is being able to do it at your own comfort level.
